Job summary

Harmons Grocery is seeking a front-of-house leader for the Cooking School in Utah. The role supports the Cooking School Chef, oversees operations, markets classes, and handles front-of-house during events.

Responsibilities include posting classes on Harmons’ website, managing class rosters, processing payments, and ensuring an excellent customer experience. Strong communication, organization, and multitasking are essential; weekend/evening availability is required.

Qualifications

• Two-year college or technical school degree in culinary arts, marketing, or related field.
• Two years of catering experience or related background.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, balance friendliness with efficiency, and multitask.
• TIPS Certification and Food Handler’s Permit.
• Front-of-house skills such as serving, hosting, table setting, and basic cleaning skills.
• Knowledge of food quality, dietary restrictions, sanitation, and kitchen safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist Cooking School Chef to manage operations under Store Director guidance.
• Post classes and events on Harmons’ website.
• Communicate with customers in writing and verbally.
• Maintain class rosters and dietary restrictions.
• Process customer payments and contracts for events.
• Represent Cooking School at weekly manager meetings when Chef unavailable.
• Deliver excellent customer service during classes and events.
• Promote and market Cooking School classes and events.
