Job Description:

Cookie/Sweet Packaging Associate

Reports to: Floor Manager and Central Bakery Manager

Job Profile: Clerk 2, Production-Central Bakery

Business Title: Bakery Production-Central Bakery

Position Summary:

Responsible for packaging products to be passed along for delivery to the stores. Must be able to label and package product and check quality (appearance) of product. Distribution (pass-out) of product to the stores may occasionally be required. Icing of some product before being packaged is also required. Follow safe, sanitary food handling policy to prevent contamination and food borne illnesses.

Starting Wage:

$17.00

Schedule:

Start time: 6am Monday, Thursday, and Saturday

7am Wednesday and Friday (Sunday and Tuesday off)

Schedule may change due to production and/or holidays

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

Experience:

No experience required.

Responsibilities:

• Works under close supervision
• Repetitive work that is clearly defined, manual jobs
• Impacts own work

Qualifications:

Basic math and reading skills, ability to follow directions and work in a fast-paced environment. Flexible work schedule, weekend availability, occasional Tuesday, Sunday, and holidays are required.

Physical requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Read and understands pass-out sheets along with understanding Special Orders. Able to use digital and balance scales. Be able to work independently and with others. Requires constant bending, stretching, and good eye/hand coordination. Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Other Duties:

Clean work areas, wash equipment and take out trash. Varies according to production needs, occasionally may have to work in other production areas.

Environmental Conditions:

Exposed to constant indoor temperatures of 75 degrees or higher, freezer temperatures of 32 degrees or below.

Noise: loud machines. Chemicals: cleaning solutions.
