Job summary

Insomnia Cookies is hiring delivery drivers for our Cherry Hill, NJ location at 1006 Haddonfield Rd. You will deliver cookies and desserts to fans, ensure order accuracy, and provide friendly service.

Candidates must have a valid license and insurance, own a car, a smartphone, and be 18 or older. On-demand pay, tips, and flexible part-time shifts are available, with cookies for staff on shift.

Qualifications

• Must have own car, valid license, registration and insurance.
• Must be 18 years or older and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to pass motor vehicles background check.

Responsibilities

• Deliver cookies, milk, and ice cream to customers in a timely and safe manner.
• Check orders for quality and accuracy before leaving the store.
• Provide friendly customer service in-person or by phone and update customers on status via the delivery app.

Insomnia Cookies is one of the fastest growing, late-night, sweet indulgence companies in the country, and at the present time, we are actively interviewing Delivery Drivers for our brand new Cherry Hill location! This new store opening will be located at 1006 Haddonfield Rd, Cherry Hill, NJ! As a Delivery Driver, you are our “Boots on the ground!”, and the main face that our Insomniacs see outside of the bakery! WHAT WILL I DO AS A DELIVERY DRIVER?

• Check orders for quality and accuracy before they leave the store.


• Deliver our cookies, milk and ice cream to our loyal fan base, in a timely and safe fashion.


• Provide quality customer service through positive and professional interaction with customers whether in-person or by phone.


• Use Insomnia’s delivery app to approved company standards and provide accurate status updates to customers.

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Excellent time management and organizational skills


• Knowledge of the 2-mile radius surrounding the store is a plus!


• Must have your own car, license, valid registration, and valid insurance


• Must be able to pass a motor vehicles background check


• Must have a smartphone with data plan


• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States


• Must be 18 years or older to be employed

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be 18 years of age or older


• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.


• Access to a reliable, insured vehicle that meets company requirements.


• Current auto insurance that meets state minimum requirements.


• Smartphone capable of running company delivery applications.


• Availability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

This position regularly requires the ability to:

• Drive safely for extended periods throughout a shift.


• Frequently enter and exit a vehicle.


• Stand and walk for extended periods while working inside the bakery.


• Lift, carry, and transport orders weighing up to 30 pounds.


• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.


• Reach, bend, twist, kneel, and carry bakery products.


• Work in varying weather conditions while making deliveries.


• Work around ovens, refrigeration equipment, and moderate bakery noise levels.


• Communicate effectively with guests, coworkers, and leadership.

Work Environment

You’ll split your time between our bakery and the road.

Inside the bakery, you’ll work in a fast-paced environment with ovens, refrigeration equipment, cleaning chemicals, and moderate noise levels. Outside the bakery, you’ll drive in varying weather and traffic conditions while following all safety policies and traffic laws.

Schedule Expectations

Our busiest times are evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Delivery Drivers should have availability during these peak business hours. Scheduling needs vary by location.
