Job summary

Insomnia Cookies in Charleston, IL (315 Lincoln Ave, STE 200) is seeking friendly team members for the Cookie Crew. You’ll greet guests, take orders, bake cookies, and ensure warm, accurate service. You’ll work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with opportunities for growth and employee discounts on cookies.

Must be 18+, capable of lifting up to 40 lb, and available nights, weekends, and holidays. The role offers part-time hours with competitive pay and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of customer service experience.
• Personable and outgoing demeanor.
• Strong communication and math skills.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests entering the store and take orders according to procedure.
• Help customers understand menu items and confirm orders for accuracy.
• Provide a warm experience in person and over the phone.
• Bake cookies to perfection and scoop ice cream when applicable.
• Ensure fast, accurate delivery orders are prepared and sent out.
• Handle cash and payments accurately and maintain no shortages or overages.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain the bakery area.

As a member of the Cookie Crew at our Charleston store located at 315 Lincoln Ave, STE 200, Charleston, IL 61920, you are the ultimate Insomniac. Not only are you the point person at the front of the store for interacting with our customers, but you also get to bake all of our awesome Warm and Delicious cookies as well!

• Bake our delicious cookies to perfection & a scoop of ice cream
• Ensure fast, warm, and correct delivery orders are packaged and sent out
• Handle cash and payments accurately and have no shortages or overages
• Cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining the bakery

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• At least 6 months of experience in a customer service focused role - preferred
