Live Well Healthcare Solutions is seeking a skilled Cook for a Skilled Nursing Facility in Wayland. The role focuses on high-volume meal preparation, precise plating, and reliable kitchen operations to support patient dining services.

The Cook will work under the Dietary Manager, ensuring sanitation, inventory control, and adherence to standardized recipes. Availability for every other weekend is required, with opportunities to contribute to special events and menu development.

Qualifications

• Classically trained cook with experience in high-volume settings.
• Ability to prepare diverse meals following standardized recipes.
• Wamiliar with maintaining sanitation and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion and cook meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner per recipes.
• Plate and garnish cooked items for attractive presentation.
• Serve as liaison for Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure smooth meal prep and delivery.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation and clean equipment before and after service.
• Manage inventory, rotate stock, assist with purchasing, and support recipe development.
• Handle special events and last-minute culinary requests for facility events.

Position Overview & Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a talented, classically trained Cook experienced in high-volume culinary operations to join our team at a Skilled Nursing Facility.

• Meal Preparation & Culinary Excellence: Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.

• Plating & Presentation: Plate and garnish all cooked items expertly to ensure an attractive menu presentation.

• Leadership Support: Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.

• Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment before and after food service.

• Inventory & Recipe Management: Manage inventory, handle stock rotation, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe development and compliance.

• Special Events: Flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
