Job summary

Lunchtime Solutions Inc. is seeking a dependable Cook for on-site work at the Wabasha-Kellogg School District. The role supports school meals with a Monday–Friday daytime schedule and a pay range of $15.00–$16.00 per hour.

You will prepare and cook meals, assist with daily operations, ensure food safety per HHFKA guidelines, and contribute to a smooth kitchen workflow. A 1-year food service background is preferred, with physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Cook - Lunchtime Solutions

Location: On-site at Wabasha-Kellogg School District

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:15am-2:15pm

Pay Range: $15.00-16.00

Lunchtime Solutions is seeking a dependable, team-focused Cook to join our school food service program. If you take pride in preparing nutritious and delicious meals, enjoy a positive work environment working with students, and want a schedule that supports work-life balance, this role is a great fit.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and cook high-quality meals by following provided recipes and ensure everything is ready for scheduled serving times.
• Support daily meal operations by assisting with forecasting, preparing special diet items, helping with special events, and stocking/serving menu items during service.
• Maintain food safety and compliance by following HHFKA serving guidelines, completing HACCP logs and production records, and monitoring participation trends.
• Keep the kitchen running smoothly through regular cleaning, organizing storage areas using FIFO practices, and maintaining a safe, healthy work environment.
• Communicate and collaborate with supervisors, team members, school staff, and customers to ensure smooth operations and great service.
• Contribute to team growth by helping train new staff and filling in in other roles when needed.

What You Bring

• 1 year food service experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, and other physical tasks.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to follow recipes, measure ingredients, and convert quantities for large batches.
• Dependability, integrity, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
