Join Our Team as a Cook at the The Montford Rooptop Bar, located atop the DoubleTree by Hilton Asheville Downtown!

At Parks Hospitality Group, we are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will assist with food preparation, cooking, and kitchen maintenance, ensuring that food items are prepared to hotel standards and served to guests with care and attention to detail.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
  • Follow recipes and portion guidelines for consistency in quality and presentation.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives, grills, and ovens.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, including work surfaces and equipment.
  • Assist with receiving, storing food deliveries, and monitoring inventory.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Break down workstations, clean, restock, and dispose of waste at the end of the shift.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff and assist other team members as needed.

What You’ll Need

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience as a Prep Cook or similar position at a hotel or restaurant is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety procedures.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with kitchen staff.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.
  • Culinary education or training is a plus.
