Job Summary

The Line Cook prepares food according to federal, state, and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations, ensuring quality food service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Prepare high-quality food items following standardized recipes to meet production and service schedules.
2. Serve meals or prepare for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, temperature, and presentation. Taste all prepared food items.
3. Use established ticket collection procedures during service and maintain records.
4. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, store or discard excess food safely.
5. Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized, ensuring proper storage of food and supplies.
6. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed.
7. Assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting.
8. Assist in ordering and receiving food and supplies.
9. Report maintenance issues, faulty equipment, or accidents immediately.
10. Attend in-service and safety meetings.
11. Maintain good relationships with coworkers, customers, and management.
12. Perform job safely, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
13. Follow HACCP standards for presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures.
14. Commit to personal and team safety, abiding by all company policies, including proper handling of knives, hot pans, and wearing slip-resistant shoes.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.
