Job summary

Morrison Healthcare at Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center in Houston is hiring a full-time Cook Supervisor to lead food-service teams, ensure quality meals, and uphold safety standards. The role requires supervisory and culinary experience with a focus on patient dining services.

You will train staff, manage food preparation, monitor inventory, follow HACCP guidelines, and support service excellence with attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Previous culinary and supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to train and lead a team in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP practices.

• Stores, labels and dates food items to minimize spoilage and waste.
• Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
• Helps serves meals and engages with customers during service periods.

• Location: Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center - 6411 Fannin Street, Houston, TX 77030.
• Schedule: Full time schedule; flexible. Days and hours may vary; weekends are included. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Previous culinary and supervisory experience preferred.
• Pay Range: $17.00per hour to$21.00per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Directly supervises food-service associates in accordance with policies, procedures and applicable laws.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Trains employees; plans, assigns and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines associates; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
• Advises management of purchasing requirements with a focus on minimizing waste and avoiding product shortages.
• Uses approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Operates and cleans equipment in accordance with department procedures after each use.
• Stores, labels and dates food items according to policy; maintains established food rotations in storage in order to minimize spoilage and waste.
• Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
• Operates food‑service equipment in a safe manner and according to established policies and procedures.
• Helps serves meals; remains present during scheduled meal periods to receive customer comments and feedback.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
