Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring immediately for a full-time Cook Supervisor at UCIH Fountain Valley, CA 92708. You will directly supervise food-service associates and ensure meals meet quality and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

We seek candidates with prior culinary and leadership experience; schedule may vary. The role offers competitive pay ($30.00–$33.44 per hour) and a comprehensive benefits package as part of a nationwide food-service team.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise food-service associates in accordance with policies, procedures and applicable laws.

• Use approved recipes and production standards to ensure quality, temperatures and portions.
• Operate and clean equipment per department procedures.
• Store, label and date food items; maintain rotations to minimize spoilage and waste.
• Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
• Operate food-service equipment safely and per policies.
• Assist in serving meals and gather customer feedback.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Trains employees; plans, assigns and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines associates; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
• Advises management of purchasing requirements with a focus on minimizing waste and avoiding product shortages.
• Uses approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Operates and cleans equipment in accordance with department procedures after each use.
• Stores, labels and dates food items according to policy; maintains established food rotations in storage in order to minimize spoilage and waste.
• Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
• Operates food-service equipment in a safe manner and according to established policies and procedures.
• Helps serves meals; remains present during scheduled meal periods to receive customer comments and feedback.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
