Job summary

Summit is seeking an experienced Cook Supervisor/Driver to join our corrections team in Fort Collins, CO. You will coordinate and supervise food service staff, ensure on-time meal service, portion control, and high standards, and transport food items to the facility.

Responsibilities include training staff in food safety, overseeing food preparation, loading and delivering meals, and maintaining accurate records while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of culinary experience in a high-volume setting with scratch cooking.
• At least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of culinary methods, techniques and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
• Strong written and verbal customer service and communication skills.

The Role at a Glance:

We are looking to bring an experienced Cook Supervisor/Driver to our corrections team in Fort Collins, CO. As a Cook Supervisor/Driver, you will have the opportunity to coordinate and supervise the work of employees to ensure efficiency and adherence to established standards in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and to transport food items.

What you’ll be doing:

• Instructing and training employees in all aspects of food service and sanitation.
• Ensuring meal services begin on time and that portion, appearance and temperature for all food items is appropriate and of high quality.
• Participating in all aspects of food preparation.
• Loading, transporting, and unloading food items.

What we’re looking for:

Must-haves:

• At least one years’ prior culinary experience in a quality and high volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking.
• At least one years’ experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
• A clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Complete knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and multitasking skills.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice-to-haves:

• Food Handlers certification preferred.

Pay:

$20.00 per hour
