Job Summary

Summary: Directly supervises food-service associates in accordance with policies, procedures, and applicable laws.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines associates; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
  • Advises management on purchasing requirements, focusing on minimizing waste and avoiding shortages.
  • Uses approved recipes and standards to ensure quality, proper serving temperatures, and portion control.
  • Operates and cleans equipment per department procedures after each use.
  • Stores, labels, and dates food items according to policy; maintains food rotation to minimize spoilage and waste.
  • Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure food safety and quality.
  • Operates food-service equipment safely according to policies.
  • Helps serve meals; remains present during meal periods to receive customer feedback.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
