Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a full-time food service professional in Texas to manage food production, ordering, and training of inmate workers. You will prepare meal-related documents, supervise service plans, and ensure sanitation and safety across operations.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and at least one year of relevant experience; computer skills and a valid driver’s license are required. This role is based on-site in our facility under GEO Secured Services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; college credits preferred but not mandatory.
• At least 1 year of experience in food production in commercial, military, or institutional settings.
• Ability to use computers and department software.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare production/service and preparation/inventory documents before each meal.
• Oversee records such as service plan, tray assessments, restricted diets, daily sanitation, and meal delivery.
• Carry out orientation and training for inmate workers.
• Ensure safety compliance and monitor equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

Your Main Tasks:

Working Alongside Our Food Services Manager, You’ll Be Responsible For Preparation Scheduling And Quality Assurance Across All Our Food And Supplies. With Us, You Will:

• Prepare production/service and preparation/inventory documents before each meal.
• Oversee additional records such as service plan, tray assessments, restricted diets, daily sanitation, and meal delivery.
• Carry out the orientation and training program for inmate workers.
• Ensure safety compliance and monitor equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent. College credits or technical training courses are preferred by not mandatory. Must be able to demonstrate the use and understanding of the facility's recipes, policies, and procedures. Must be able to communicate to all personnel the minimum production/service requirements of the job.
• On (1) year prior experience in successfully managing and/or quantity food production experience in commercial, military, or institutional setting will be helpful. Prior correctional food service training will be helpful but not mandatory.
• Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently: Lift or carry and push/pull up to 60 lbs.; sit.
• Occasionally: Lift, carry, push/pull up to 60 lbs. (sometimes more); bend, stoop, reach above shoulder level, climb, walk, and stand.
