Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions seeks a skilled Dietary Cook for a Skilled Nursing Facility. You will prepare nutritious meals for all meals, follow standardized recipes, plate attractively, and support the Dietary Manager in their absence.

This role requires high-volume cooking, strong sanitation, inventory management, and flexibility for events. Full-time benefits include PTO and insurance; must be available every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Must have strong culinary skills and ability to follow standardized recipes.
• Experience in high-volume cookery within a nursing facility or hospital setting preferred.
• Maintain strict sanitation and food safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, and cook meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following recipes.
• Plate and garnish dishes to present an appealing meal service.
• Support Dietary Manager in their absence to ensure smooth meal prep and delivery.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation standards before and after service.
• Manage inventory, rotate stock, assist with purchasing, and help with recipe development.
• Handle last-minute requests for special events and facility functions.

Position Overview & Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a talented, classically trained Cook experienced in high-volume culinary operations to join our team at a Skilled Nursing Facility.

• Meal Preparation & Culinary Excellence: Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.
• Plating & Presentation: Plate and garnish all cooked items expertly to ensure an attractive menu presentation.
• Leadership Support: Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.
• Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment before and after food service.
• Inventory & Recipe Management: Manage inventory, handle stock rotation, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe development and compliance.
• Special Events: Flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
