Job summary

River Landing at Sandy Ridge is seeking a full-time Cook to join our caring kitchen team. The role requires weekday availability with 9:00-17:30 three days a week and 8:00-16:30 two days a week, with starting pay of $20 per hour or more based on experience.

You will prepare ala carte and banquet meals using standardized recipes, maintain station par sheets, and read tickets accurately in a high-volume environment. Benefits include medical/dental, PTO, life insurance, and a retirement plan.

• Serve Safe certification is a plus.

Job Responsibilities

The cook position should understand and complete production for ala carte and banquets using standardized recipes as well as proper set up and stocking of station-based par sheets. must have a high level of skill and technique in an a la minute line production environment. must be able to read tickets clearly, produce a consistent product in a high-volume situation and any special production necessary deemed so by a supervisor.

Educational Requirements

High school education and serve safe certification a plus.

Job Related Qualifications

A working knowledge of cooking techniques and procedures is mandatory as well as an understanding of proper food storage, temperature holding and sanitation.
