  • Maintain high standards in the preparation of quality hot and cold foods following established recipes.
  • Assist with special event catering functions as assigned by the Dietary Director.
  • Maintain Service Excellence in all special functions hosted by the Riveredge Dietary Department.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling and ordering of all items.
  • Participate in daily food production as needed.
  • Ensure quality and safety standards for preparing and serving food.
  • Work closely with nutritionist to ensure efficient management of special diet preparation and apply any special dietary restrictions to recipes.
  • Keep all storage areas clean and free of clutter.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment in accordance with Health Department standards.
  • Notify supervisor of unsafe equipment or situations noticed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Previous catering experience required. 2-3 years prior food service experience required; experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Must be reliable with a good working attitude.
  • Aptitude should include verbal ability to express ideas and view effectively.
  • Position is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
