Job summary

The Neighborhood at Vestavia Hills is seeking Cooks to join their team. The Cook reports directly to the Food and Beverage Director and is responsible for all food preparation to meet quality, quantity, and service standards for the community.

At minimum, candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, a culinary background or apprenticeship, and a current SERV Safe certificate or the ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED required.
• Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred.
• SERV Safe certificate or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to Phoenix standardized recipes and production sheets.
• Maintain sanitary conditions and comply with food safety standards.
• Monitor temperatures, taste, and quality; adjust as needed to meet guidelines.
• Record equipment, refrigerator, freezer, cooking, holding, and cooling temperatures.
