Job summary

Hendricks Community Hospital is seeking a cook/prep cook to support our kitchen team, preparing meals for residents, patients and staff. The role starts at $19.00 per hour, with pay dependent on experience.

The position involves mostly evening shifts with rotating weekends and holidays, and duties include ensuring dietary guidelines are followed and meals are served on schedule. Health, dental, vision, and retirement benefits are offered, along with paid time off and an employee assistance

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all food items for patients, residents and staff.
• Prepares special diets as needed based on the guidelines of the therapeutic menu.
• Assumes responsibility for correct diet implementation.
• Meets standards established by appropriate leader for food preparation, quality, sanitation, and efficiency.
• Delivers all products according to time schedule set for the specific item.
• Completes daily assigned cleaning in accordance with approved standards.
• Responsible for delivering excellent customer service.
• Ensures that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
• Completes additional tasks as assigned.

Position Highlights

The Hendricks Community Hospital Association is looking for a cook/prep cook to join our team. Cooks are responsible for preparing meals for our residents, patients and staff. The starting hourly wage for this position is $19.00 an hour. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
