Goodwin Living, a nonprofit senior living and healthcare organization based in Alexandria, Virginia, is seeking a Cook for our Dining Services team. You will prepare high-quality meals for residents, manage food prep, and ensure sanitation standards are met in a fast-paced environment.

The role pays $21–$24 per hour, with full-time benefits and opportunities for growth. Previous line cook experience in healthcare is a plus, and we value diverse, inclusive teams.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience as line cook in a Health Care Facility is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen station.
• Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers and snacks.
• Plating prepared foods based on the chef’s guidance.
• Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time.
• Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations.

About the Position

At Goodwin Living, our cooks provide a pleasurable dining experience for residents by preparing high quality food. They manage all aspects of food preparation and production in an environment that meets sanitation guidelines.

The pay is $21-$24/hr depending on experience.
