Job summary

Goodwin Living is seeking a dedicated cook to join our Dining Services team in Falls Church, VA. You will prepare high-quality meals for residents, manage kitchen prep, and ensure timely service in a care-focused environment.

Responsibilities include stocking, cooking a variety of dishes, plating as directed, and maintaining strict sanitary standards. Prior experience in a healthcare facility is a plus; competitive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience as line cook in a Health Care Facility is a plus.

• Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen station.
• Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers and snacks.
• Plating prepared foods based on the chef’s guidance.
• Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time.
• Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations.

About The Position

At Goodwin Living, our cooks provide a pleasurable dining experience for residents by preparing high quality food. They manage all aspects of food preparation and production in an environment that meets sanitation guidelines.

The pay is $21-$24/hr depending on experience.
