What does a typical day look like for a Turning Point cook?
Our cooks work ten hour shifts. When cooks arrive at work, they review the day’s established menu, prepare the work area, cook the meals in large batches, and serve approximately 120 meals per mealtime. As part of our food and work safety practices, our cooks also monitor temperatures of the cooler, freezer, and dishwashers, record results, report any deviations from proper temperatures, and complete routine cleaning tasks including mopping and dishwashing. Our cooks prepare and serve three meals per day and have alternative options for special diets.
PRN scheduled days will vary. The two shifts that cooks are scheduled to work are 6:30am to 5:30pm and 7:00am to 6:00pm.
