Job summary

Oceans Behavioral Hospital Biloxi is seeking a dedicated Cook to support its inpatient and outpatient dietary services. You will plan and prepare meals for patients, follow therapeutic diet guidelines, and coordinate with clinical staff to meet menus and dietary orders.

This role emphasizes food safety, timeliness, and patient satisfaction within a hospital kitchen. You will supervise assistants, maintain cleanliness, and help plan the next day’s menus in alignment with Joint Commission

Qualifications

• Experience in planning daily cooking schedules and following standardized recipes.
• Ability to direct assistants and aides in a professional manner.
• Ability to prepare and serve meals per menus, physician orders, resident preferences, and therapeutic diet spreadsheet.

• Other duties as assigned.

The Cook performs a variety of volume food preparation tasks. Plans cooking schedules and directs the work of assistants in a professional manner. Ensures patient satisfaction. All duties to be done in accordance with Joint Commission, Federal and State regulations, Oceans' Mission, policies and procedures, and Performance Improvement standards.
