Position Summary

Under general supervision, perform activities in support of all restaurant operations, food preparation, and presentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and preparing menus, food setup, service, and cooking.
  • Follow prescribed menu procedures for hot and cold food lines, select proper utensils, and ensure correct temperatures.
  • Serve hot and cold food items, add relishes and garnishes, and ensure appropriate portion sizes.
  • Maintain food safety standards, including proper food temperatures and sanitation.
  • Ensure cleanliness of kitchen areas, including refrigeration and storage spaces.
  • Open and close the kitchen as needed, handle equipment and supplies issues, and manage food quality.
  • Assist in training personnel and follow safety and food handling procedures.
  • Attend to daily operational needs, including food rotation and spoilage detection.

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a restaurant or food service role.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Must complete New Mexico Food Handlers course upon hire.
  • Must pass background checks and drug screening.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

Includes standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working indoors and outdoors in varied weather conditions. Tasks involve bending, reaching, and manual handling of objects.
