Job summary

Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA is seeking a Cook to join our inpatient culinary team. You will prepare hot meals for patient trays, cafeteria, and catering services, following production schedules and quality standards.

In the absence of the director or chef, you will supervise kitchen staff and ensure all duties comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Prior hospital experience and knowledge of therapeutic diets are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Hospital food preparation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of modified and therapeutic diets preferred.
• Food Workers’ certificate required within 30 days of start date.

The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center® began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Nutritional Services this position prepares hot food items for patient trayline, cafeteria, doctor's lounge, and catering functions according to production schedule. In absence of director or chef, supervises kitchen staff and acts as lead person. Ensures all duties are completed in a consistent manner, according to all local, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Basic to advanced culinary skills; Knowledge of modified and therapeutic diets preferred
• Minimum 2-4 year previous experience with hospital or institutional food preparation required.

Certifications / Licenses

• Food Workers’ certificate required within 30 days of start date.
