Job summary

Oakmont of Silver Creek in San Jose, CA, is seeking a Part-Time Cook to join our senior living community. Shifts are Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday from 4 PM to 8 PM, with pay range $20.00-$21.50/hour depending on experience.

You will prepare meals in a full scratch kitchen, ensure quality and safety, and collaborate with a passionate food-service team to deliver exceptional dining experiences for residents and guests.

Qualifications

• Line cook experience in a full scratch kitchen or restaurant.
• 2 to 5 years experience on a fast-paced line or prep cook line.
• Ability to execute flawless dishes in a timely manner.
• Ability to communicate with a friendly demeanor to all staff.
• Pass a criminal background check and health screening tests, including TB tests; vaccination/testing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and plate meals for residents and guests.
• Maintain food quality, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen and caregiving teams to ensure smooth service.

What we request:

• Line cook experience in a “Full Scratch Kitchen or Restaurant”
• 2 to 5 years experience on a fast-paced line, or working a prep cook line station
• Ability to execute flawless dishes in a timely manner
• Ability to communicate with a friendly demeanor to all staff
• Passionate about service to others and creating exceptional food experiences
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
