Description

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate kitchen equipment including slicer, steamer, deep fryer, ovens, broiler, grill, mixer, kettle, and griddles.
  • Read and interpret recipes and measurements accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with team members in speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work areas and equipment, including sweeping and mopping floors.
  • Participate actively in cooking, preparing, plating, and assembling menu items.
  • Follow control procedures to manage food costs and ensure quality.
  • Adhere to health codes and hand washing guidelines.
  • Prepare food items according to standard recipes and menus to ensure consistency.
  • Handle banquets and food outlet operations effectively.
  • Maintain constant communication with BOH team members.
  • Foster positive interpersonal relationships among staff.
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year experience in food preparation preferred.
  • Ability to work in both front and back of house positions.
  • Complete any required classes or certifications, including obtaining a valid Racing License.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must frequently sit, stand, walk, handle objects, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The environment may be noisy and include circulating through various areas, including smoking zones, to observe activities and machine operations.
