The private Embassy Suites Dorado del Mar Beach Resort is seeking a Cook to join their team.

Embassy Suites Dorado del Mar Beach Resort is located on Puerto Rico's northern coast, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, just 10 minutes from Manuel Morales Beach and 21 miles from central San Juan. Enjoy our outdoor lagoon-style pool with ocean views and complimentary made-to-order breakfast and evening receptions. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of cooking experience, a culinary degree, and proficiency in both Spanish and English.

Shift Pattern: Full availability with rotating shifts throughout the week.

Pay Rate: $11.50 per hour

Responsibilities

As a Cook, you will prepare and present high-quality dishes to ensure an excellent guest and member experience. Your duties include:

  • Preparing and presenting dishes within company guidelines
  • Maintaining cleanliness and avoiding cross-contamination
  • Preparing mis-en-place for relevant menus
  • Assisting other departments and maintaining good relationships
  • Reporting maintenance, hygiene, and hazard issues
  • Complying with hotel security, fire regulations, and health and safety legislation
  • Achieving departmental targets as part of the team
  • Being environmentally conscious
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will:

  • Work well under pressure
  • Be able to work independently or in a team

Additional advantageous skills include:

  • Basic food hygiene knowledge
