Job description

Position Summary

The Cook is responsible for preparing menu items utilizing cooking equipment in a fast-paced environment. The Cook must adhere to high food quality standards to ensure guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include portion control, food waste management, and maintaining sanitation standards while operating in the kitchen.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers an hourly wage of $18.00 - $20.00.

Benefits for part-time roles include a 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching.

Responsibilities
  • Cook and package food products prepared to order or kept warm until sold.
  • Receive verbal orders from front counter staff for guest food requirements.
  • Maintain quality and production standards for all menu items, ensuring freshness and high quality.
  • Control portions and serve at correct temperatures.
  • Clean, stock, and restock workstations and displays.
  • Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, fryers, and ovens.
  • Ensure cleanliness of work areas and equipment, proper storage of food, and sanitation at the end of each shift, under supervision.
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards.
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance.
Qualifications
  • Effective communication skills with team members and guests, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Valid food handling certificate if required by regulations.
