Brief Description

Faith Hospice's Trillium Woods Campus is looking to add a Part-Time Cook to their team. Faith Hospice, through Christian Living Services and Holland Home, focuses on caring and maintaining comfort for individuals in hospice care. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to work with dedicated professionals and patients. If you have a passion for cooking and caregiving, consider joining the Holland Home team at Faith Hospice.

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food for residents and staff using standardized recipes and complying with regulations.
  • Ensure all food meets standards for temperature, quality, taste, and appearance.
  • Maintain sanitation standards during food preparation.
  • Clean kitchen after meals, wash equipment, and store leftovers appropriately.
  • Label food containers with date, time, and description.
  • Monitor and track logs (temperature, sanitation, delivery dates).
  • Follow kitchen safety guidelines and use protective equipment.
  • Practice proper hand hygiene to prevent infection.
  • Attend staff meetings and training as required.

Wages

  • Hourly, based on experience
  • Yearly wage increases

Schedule

  • Part-Time, 24 hours/week
  • Shifts vary (6:00am - 2:30pm, 11:00am - 7:30pm)
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday rotation required

Requirements

  • 6 months to 1 year cooking experience, preferably large-scale

  • Ability to stand long periods and lift 60 pounds
  • Pass background check and physical
  • Work every other weekend and occasional holidays
