Position Details
  • Location: Pickersgill Retirement Community - 615 Chestnut Avenue, Towson, MD 21204
  • Schedule: Part-time, 6:00 am - 2:00 pm, hours may vary. Must be able to work every other weekend. More details upon interview.
  • Requirement: Minimum of two years of healthcare culinary experience.
  • Perks: Willing to provide additional training!
Compensation
  • Pay Rate: $19.45 per hour.

Job Summary

Prepares food in accordance with applicable standards, guidelines, and regulations. Ensures quality food service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepares high-quality food items according to recipes to meet production and service schedules.
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, temperature, and presentation. Tastes all prepared food items.
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures and maintains records during service.
  • Maintains cleanliness of the kitchen and stores or discards excess food safely.
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized.
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment.
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping, and ordering supplies.
  • Reports maintenance issues or accidents immediately.
  • Attends safety meetings and maintains good relationships with team members.
  • Follows all safety policies, including proper use of gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques.
