Overview

Prepare food of consistent quality and assist in kitchen functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Prepare food following recipes, standards, and check with servers.
2. Start pre-prepared food items, avoiding over-preparation.
3. Label and rotate perishables per HEI standards, maintaining proper temperatures.
4. Check stock levels, prepare ingredients, and assist with buffet stock.
5. Return unused food to storage, covering and dating perishables.
6. Assist in controlling food costs and minimizing waste.
7. Operate and clean kitchen equipment safely.
8. Maintain regular attendance and be available to work.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

1. Preferred hotel experience.
2. Dexterity to operate food machinery.
3. Ability to lift/move up to 100 lbs with or without accommodation.
4. Effective communication skills adaptable to different audiences.

Compensation

Salary Range: $21.00/hour. Tipped/Service charge: No. Bonus: No.
