Job summary

Miller's Health Systems is seeking a Cook to prepare meals per standardized recipes for regular and therapeutic diets in a patient-centered setting. You will oversee dietary aides during your shift and ensure accuracy of incoming food deliveries while upholding appearance and quality.

Ideal candidates have some food service experience, can follow written and verbal instructions, and comply with safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Successfully complete pre-employment process and screening.
• Able to pass physical examination given in behalf of gainful employment within the facility.
• Satisfactorily pass through required orientation and training. Be able to follow written and/or verbal instructions.
• Previous experience in Food Service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and nourishments using standardized recipes for regular and therapeutic diets, paying attention to appearance.
• Adhere to regulations and company policies regarding diets, food preparation standards and infection control.
• Provide oversight to the dietary aide position during your shift and inspect food deliveries for accuracy and quality.
• Ensure proper sanitation, safety and portion control during food preparation.

As a Cook at Miller’s, you prepare meals and nourishments using standardized recipes for regular and therapeutic diets, paying special attention to appearance. You adhere to regulations and company policies regarding diets, food preparation standards, and infection control. You provide oversight to the dietary aide position during your shift and you receive and inspect food deliveries for accuracy and quality.
