Job Summary

We are hiring immediately for a part‑time COOK position.

Location: Atrium Health Peach – 1960 Georgia Highway 247, Byron, GA 31008. Online applications only.

Schedule: Part‑time, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, days may vary; rotating weekends. Details discussed in interview.

Requirement: 1 year of previous kitchen experience.

Pay: $18.85 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare high‑quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serve meals or prepare them for delivery using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty. Taste all prepared food items.
• Use established ticket‑collection procedures during service; maintain records for the area worked during service periods.
• Clean the kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness; store or discard excess food in accordance with safe food‑handling procedures.
• Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat; ensure food and supply items are stored per standards.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assist in production planning, record‑keeping and reporting as required.
• Assist in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required.
• Report needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Attend in‑service and safety meetings.
• Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers.
• Perform the job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ensure proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures; follow HACCP standards.
• Maintain personal commitment to safety.
• Abide by all company policies and procedures, including:
• The use of medium‑weight cut gloves when handling knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins or during slicer cleaning.
• The use of oven mitts, fryer gloves or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers or steam tables.
• The use of slip‑resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.
