Job summary

Cassia Community in Apple Valley, MN is seeking a Cook to join our culinary team at Apple Valley Health Care Centers. This on-call role offers consistent hours, no late nights, and the chance to prepare meals that bring comfort to residents.

Responsibilities include following recipes, cooking to quality standards, monitoring stock, and maintaining kitchen safety and sanitation. Ideal candidates have 1+ year cooking experience and can thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of commercial cooking/food preparation experience required.
• Selected candidates must pass background checks.
• Must be able to read and follow recipes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Ability to stand for length of shift.
• Prior dining/serving experience is a plus.
• Baking experience is a plus.

• Deliver exceptional service to residents by providing fast, friendly and excellent customer service to all guests.
• Prepare and cook all meals to ensure adherence to recipes and quality standards.
• Observe and report on low stock or high-demand choices.
• Observe and report on resident change of condition or changes in ability.
• Participate in meetings and required training to maintain regulatory standards of food service at the community.
• Inspect kitchen for conformance to government and company safety and sanitation requirements.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

Apple Valley Health Care Center and Apple Valley Villa, 2 Cassia communities, is hiring a Cook to join the culinary team! In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to prepare meals that bring comfort and nourishment to our residents.
