Job summary

Whitsons is hiring a part-time Healthcare Cook to prepare nourishing meals for patients in a calm clinical setting. This role focuses on safe food handling and adherence to dietary guidelines, with a 20–25 hour weekly schedule and paid training.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of culinary experience, ServSafe and local food safety certifications, and strong English communication skills. Training is provided, and the position emphasizes teamwork and patient-centered service.

Are you passionate about cooking and ready to make a difference in the lives of patients? Join our healthcare nutrition team as a P/T Cook and help prepare fresh, healing meals that support wellness and recovery in a calm, caring environment. Hours approximately 20-25 weekly.

Payrate: $19.04/hour, after 120 days pay will increase $0.25/hour

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

Education :

• High school graduate or equivalent.

Certifications :

• ServSafe certification

• The work is performed primarily in the kitchen and on the serving line

• Work requires movement in and out of storerooms, near ovens and freezers
• Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment.
• The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
