Job summary

Whitsons Culinary Group is seeking a Healthcare Cook for Nourish Recovery, focusing on patient meals prepared in a calm, caring environment. No late nights and weekend shifts help support a stable schedule while contributing to wellness through nutritious meals.

You will follow dietary guidelines, collaborate with dietitians and clinicians, and ensure safe, attractive plating. Training is provided; prior healthcare food service experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must complete all Whitsons and government required training as necessary
• ServSafe certification
• Local food safety certification, if required in jurisdiction of employment.
• Ability to speak and read English to understand and perform job assignments.
• Proficient in recipe procedures and cooking techniques.
• 1-year professional culinary experience required
• Always present a positive and professional image.

Pay Rate: $16.50/hour

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

Education:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must complete all Whitsons and government required training as necessary

Certifications:

• ServSafe certification
• Local food safety certification, if required in jurisdiction of employment.

• Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment.
• The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.

Work Schedule

Weekend positions, AM shift from 5:00am-1:00pm. PM shift from 12:00pm-6:00pm.
