Waterhouse Ridge Memory Care in Beaverton, OR is seeking a passionate, professional Cook to provide an extraordinary dining experience for residents in our community.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve quality meals for residents, including those with special diets.
• Follow menu programs or approved substitutes to meet nutritional needs and preferences.
• Ensure attractive plate presentation for residents.
• Assist in planning and coordinating special events for marketing and activities.
• Address resident concerns and preferences proactively.
• Adhere to food handling and sanitation guidelines.
• Respect residents' privacy, dignity, and rights.
• Follow infection control procedures and standard precautions.
• Complete required training upon hire and annually.

Responsibilities of the Cook

• Preparation and service of quality meals for all residents including those with special diet needs.
• Follows menu program or an approved substitute menu to ensure that nutritional needs and preferences of the residents are met.
• Ensures plate presentation is attractive and appetizing for the resident population.
• Assist in planning and coordinating special events for marketing and activities.
• Continuously monitor and appropriately address resident concerns and preferences.
• Adheres to proper food handling and sanitation guidelines.
• Ensure residents are provided privacy, respect, and dignity.
• Follows standard precautions and infection control procedures.
• Completes state required training upon hire and annually.

Required Experience

• Possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• A minimum of one (1) year prior cooking experience is preferred.
• Prior experience in food service, dining, or kitchen support is preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in the English language.
