Buffalo Public Schools is seeking a Cook Manager for the 2025-2026 school year to supervise school food service operations. The ideal candidate will manage food preparation, plan nutritious menus, and oversee a team of food service employees across multiple school locations. This position requires relevant educational qualifications and experience in food service management.
(The City of Buffalo Civil Service does not require residency within the City of Buffalo for Native Americans.
The City of Buffalo Civil Service does require tribal enrollment or community recognition as a Native American)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
(A) Associates Degree from an accredited college or university in Food Service Administration, Dietetic Technology, Nutrition Restaurant Management or a related food service field;
OR
(B) Graduation from High School, GED or Equivalency Diploma and TWO YEARS of full time experience in an industrial or school cafeteria, hospitals, restaurants, hotels and/or other similar operations other than fast food or short order, involving large quantity food service;
OR
(C) an equivalent combination as defined within limits of A and B
