Job summary

Harborview-Health-System is seeking a dedicated cook for our nursing home. You will prepare and serve meals according to planned menus and physician orders, while maintaining food safety and timely service. You’ll work closely with the dietary team to ensure residents’ nutrition needs are met with care and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have healthcare kitchen experience, can follow complex diet orders, and remain on their feet in a busy kitchen. Comprehensive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Previous healthcare or long-term care dietary experience preferred.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, including diet orders and menus.
• Must be able to lift, bend, and stand for long periods in a busy kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare and serve meals according to planned menus and physician orders
• Communicate effectively director of dietary services
• Work with a sense of urgency to ensure meals are timely, accurate, and satisfying
• Uphold food safety and sanitation protocols at all times
• Duties as assigned
