At Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services, we offer a challenging yet rewarding environment dedicated to caring for our residents. We are currently seeking an experienced Cook for a full-time, day shift position.

Job Responsibilities
  • Follow planned menus and prepare food for residents, staff, and special events.
  • Plan cooking schedules to ensure food is ready to serve on time.
  • Prepare and cook food according to tested recipes and guidelines.
  • Prepare desserts, pastries, breads, and salads.
  • Carve meats in required portions.
  • Prepare food for special diets.
  • Serve food attractively and timely in proper utensils, hot or cold as required.
  • Prepare trays for patients unable to dine in the dining room.
  • Handle extra servings requests and assist with cleaning duties, including washing and sanitizing kitchenware and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen area.
  • Utilize sanitary methods for food handling and preparation.
  • Assist with other dietary requirements and paperwork as needed.
  • In the absence of the Dietary Director, assume departmental responsibilities and manage staff or find replacements if necessary.
Job Requirements
  • Must be 18 or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must wear the required uniform and demonstrate good personal hygiene.
  • Ability to operate equipment safely and use supplies efficiently.
  • Attend in-service training and staff meetings as required.
  • Follow all personnel, department, and facility policies.
