Job Opportunity: Cook at Legends of Notre Dame

Join the University of Notre Dame's University Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division as a Cook. This on-call/temporary position offers a dynamic work environment, flexible shifts, and the chance to develop new skills in a prime campus location. Be part of our hospitality team and share your passion for food and service!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare Cold Foods: Assemble salads, sandwiches, and other cold dishes by chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients as per recipes.
  • Sanitation and Equipment Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by cleaning work areas and equipment regularly.
  • Basic Cooking Techniques: Use various methods like grilling, frying, and steaming to prepare food to the right standards.
  • Multitask in High-Volume Production: Manage multiple stations during peak times, including grilling, stir-frying, and baking.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and replenish ingredients to ensure smooth operations and minimize waste.
  • Operate Kitchen Equipment: Use commercial kitchen tools and appliances safely and proficiently.
