Job: Cook

Hours: Full-Time - Nights - 11:30 pm - 10 am - Mon-Fri, EOW

Location: LGH Main 555 N Duke Street Lancaster, PA 17652

Eligible for a one-time Sign-on Bonus of $1K

Responsibilities
  1. Prepare assigned items according to standardized recipes, including vegetables, roasting, baking, broiling, frying, breakfast hot foods, and sandwiches.
  2. Set up tray-line, slice meats, pre-portion necessary items, and maintain all hot production areas and equipment in an orderly, clean, and sanitary condition.
  3. Perform all preparation duties as assigned, ensuring 100% compliance with tested and standardized recipes.
  4. Check foods for proper taste, texture, appearance, temperature, and quality throughout preparation, holding, and serving processes.
  5. Participate in maintaining food storage, preparation, and serving areas in an orderly, clean, and sanitary condition.
  6. Set up entree and vegetable soup stations on the tray assembly line and check temperatures.
  7. Perform other duties as requested.
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Two years experience in cooking in all areas hot production.
  • One year experience in cooking cold food.
  • One year experience in volume cooking.
  • Culinary School diploma with high-volume cooking experience (commercial or institutional).
  • Preferred: Two or more years of experience in large-volume production and one year of experience in training and directing staff.
Education or Equivalent Experience
  • H.S. Diploma/GED
  • Vocational/Trade Diploma
