Job Summary

This position is responsible for the preparation of all meals for patient services, the café, and catering. It follows all applicable recipes or procedures when cooking and monitors food temperature, storage, rotation, and workstation sanitation to ensure meals are prepared according to hospital safety standards. The role may also involve other duties related to food service or safety.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent. In lieu of a diploma, two years of professional cook experience are acceptable.
• Two years of cooking experience.
• Ability to apply elementary math functions.
• Ability to work well under time constraints.
• Ability to understand and follow detailed written or oral instructions.
• Clear and distinct speaking ability with proper pronunciation.

Preferred Qualifications

• ServSafe Certification.

The current salary range for this position is $21.00 to $28.88 per hour.
