The award-winning Forbes 4-Star and AAA 5-Diamond Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club is looking for a Cook IV to join the Culinary Team!

Located in the beautiful coastal town of Dana Point, adjacent to Laguna Beach, this town played an iconic role in the emergence of California's surf culture and today is celebrated for its laid-back vibe and active lifestyle.

The resort is perched on 175 acres atop a 150-foot seaside bluff, with over 400 rooms, 115,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, and 8 food and beverage outlets, including 4 restaurants, a beach club, lounge, marketplace, and in-room dining.

Classification: Part-Time

Shift: Various – must be available weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour, based on experience and location.

What will I be doing?

As a Cook IV, you will be responsible for preparing, maintaining, and monitoring quality control for hot food items, ensuring outstanding service and financial profitability. Responsibilities include:

  1. Prepare, maintain, and monitor quality control for hot food items, including meat, fish, fowl, sauces, stocks, and seasonings.
  2. Prepare food according to recipes and standards.
  3. Prepare guest orders efficiently and courteously.
  4. Maintain cleanliness and food sanitation standards.
  5. Inspect all food sent from the kitchen for quality and presentation.
  6. Follow proper food handling and storage procedures per regulations.
