The Cook IV (PM SHIFT) at Hyatt Regency O'Hare Chicago is responsible for preparing food items, based on standardized recipes, for the restaurant while maintaining the highest standards to produce an appealing and appetizing product.

Essential Functions
  1. Prepares meals in accordance with brand standards and guidelines.
  2. Complies with certification requirements such as Food Handlers Safety Training.
  3. Maintains cleanliness and organization of all areas per State Board of Health regulations.
  4. Completes necessary food and station preparations before restaurant opening to ensure prompt and efficient service.
  5. Knows the location and operation of all safety equipment.
  6. Assists in storage and rotation of food items according to hotel procedures.
  7. Ensures cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in the kitchen and work areas while minimizing waste and maximizing cost efficiency.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to obtain Food Handlers Certification.
  • Ability to work well in high-demand situations.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to read and convey information clearly.
  • Proficiency in general computer knowledge.
  • Desire to serve all guests.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a restaurant kitchen setting is preferred.
