Position Summary

Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients. Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist. Prepare cold foods. Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers. Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently. Monitor food quality during preparation. Set up and break down work station. Serve food in proper portions. Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tools, and equipment. Check and ensure correct temperatures of appliances and food.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Follow all safety, security, and company policies. Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and confidentiality. Protect company assets.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally. Develop positive relationships and support team goals.
  • Adhere to quality standards. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. Reach, bend, twist, and lift objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
