Department: Ladore - Food Service

Availability of Position: Immediate

Schedule: 40 hours a week; Nights and weekends a must

Reporting Relationship: Ladore Catering Manager

Grade: Non-Exempt, 73

Position Overview:

Under the direction of the Ladore Catering Manager, be able to prepare meals for groups of 20-200.

Responsibilities

Duties:

• Perform food service responsibilities as directed by the Ladore Catering Manager
• Maintain food safety standards as prescribe by ServSafe
• Operate equipment safely and properly
• Maintain neat and uniform appearance at all times
• Prepare and cook meals for groups in house
• Keep food prep and cooking areas neat and clean
• Other related duties assigned by the Ladore Catering Manager

Qualifications

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Be able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Must pass a ServSafe class which will be offered by the Salvation Army
• Ability to handle a high paced and often intense work environment
• Must be good with people
• Food service experience with large groups
• Ability to be on one’s feet for hours at a time
• Child Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks prior to employment: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check. Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 along with renewals every five years.
