Job summary

TidePointe, a Vi Community, located in Hilton Head Island, SC, is hiring a cook to prepare various dishes while keeping a clean and safe kitchen. The role includes receiving deliveries and assisting with stock. No late nights, with benefits eligibility within 30 days.

Compensation is $19.50–$23.90 per hour, plus a $2,000 sign-on bonus; full benefits available after 30 days. Requires 1 year of line cooking experience and a Food Handler certificate where required.

Qualifications

• Prefer 1 year basic line cooking experience in a quality restaurant, country club, hotel or senior living.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Possess or be willing to obtain a Food Handler certificate, as required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Cook and assist in preparing all types of food while maintaining a safe, clean and sanitary work area.
• Assist with receiving and stocking deliveries using proper rotation practices.
• May assist kitchen attendant as needed.

Responsibilities

Cook

Assist in preparing all types of food while maintaining a safe, clean and sanitary work area. You will also assist with receiving and stocking deliveries using proper rotational practices. May assist kitchen attendant as needed.

Qualifications

• Qualified applicants will preferably possess 1 year basic line cooking experience within a high quality restaurant, country club, hotel or senior living company.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.

• Must possess a valid and valid driver's license, where applicable.

Additional requirements include:

• Basic knowledge in all facets of kitchen work.
• Keen eye for details.
• Ability to follow recipe cards accurately and use a Point of Sale (POS) system
