Job summary

Vi Living seeks a dedicated cook for TidePointe, a Vi Community, on Hilton Head Island. The role involves cooking and assisting in all food preparation while keeping a clean, safe kitchen and supporting delivery intake.

Qualified candidates have at least 1 year of line cooking experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a Food Handler certificate. A valid driver’s license and POS experience are pluses. Competitive benefits offered.

• Possess or be willing to obtain Food Handler certificate.
• Must possess a valid driver's license where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Cook and assist in preparing all types of food.
• Maintain safe, clean, and sanitary work area.
• Assist with receiving and stocking deliveries using proper rotation practices.
• Assist kitchen attendant as needed.

Responsibilities

Cook

Assist in preparing all types of food while maintaining a safe, clean and sanitary work area. You will also assist with receiving and stocking deliveries using proper rotational practices. May assist kitchen attendant as needed.

Qualifications

• Qualified applicants will preferably possess 1 year basic line cooking experience within a high quality restaurant, country club, hotel or senior living company.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Possess or be willing and to obtain Food Handler certificate, as required.
• Must possess a valid and valid driver's license, where applicable.

Additional requirements include:

• Basic knowledge in all facets of kitchen work.
• Keen eye for details.
• Ability to follow recipe cards accurately and use a Point of Sale (POS) system
