Job summary

St. Labre Indian Catholic School seeks a Cook II at the Pretty Eagle campus to assist the Head Cook in meal preparation, kitchen upkeep, and safe food handling. You will help with menu planning, inventory, and serving line replenishment, supporting snacks and sack lunches as needed.

The position is nonexempt, 12 months, with a focus on teamwork, recipe accuracy, and clean, compliant operations in a school setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; related experience preferred.
• Food safety/sanitation knowledge required; ability to read and follow recipes.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Cook in all kitchen areas; stand-in for Head Cook as needed.
• Prepare meals per planned menu and recipes; assist Baker with snacks and sack lunches.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness; perform weekly deep cleans.
• Package meals and ensure proper handling for service.
• Record inventory usage and report to Head Cook daily.
• Assist with ordering and inventory planning for next week’s menu.
• Restock serving line during meal times and support other departments as needed.
• Help decorate cafeteria for events and prepare for special functions.
